Kuril Lake attracts many four-legged and feathered predators. Here you will find white-tailed eagles, golden eagles and the largest eagle in the world - the white-tailed leopard. Salmon feeds everyone. The largest herd of salmon in Eurasia spawns in the Kuril Lake. The optimal number of producers providing extended reproduction of the herd is estimated at 1.5–3.5 million individuals;
But, undoubtedly, the most interesting inhabitant of these places is the brown bear. In the reserve, especially on the shores of the Kuril Lake, the largest grouping of these animals in Kamchatka is concentrated.
In August and September, there is a unique opportunity to watch bear fishing in the wild. Brown bears are truly real fishermen - they cleverly, without fishing rods and tackle, fish in seconds.
